1) What exactly do I receive after purchase?

2) Is this a one-time payment or a subscription?

No extra software required. Import the PDF to your reMarkable via the official tools. It also works in GoodNotes, Notability, Xodo and other PDF annotation apps. Just open, import and tap the index: links are ready out of the box.
